Marc Liesching

Marc Liesching (born February 10, 1972 ) is a German lawyer and media scientist. He teaches media law and media theory at the University of Technology, Economics and Culture in Leipzig .

Career

After studying law in Heidelberg, he worked in 1998 as a research assistant at the Institute for Journalism at the University of Hohenheim and, after completing the legal clerkship and the 2nd state examination from 2000-2003, as a research assistant at the Institute for Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Criminology at the Friedrich- Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg . He received his doctorate from the Law Faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and completed his dissertation with summa cum laudeand the Faculty's Walburga-Riedel PhD award. In 2003 he founded the media law firm technolex-anwaelte.de and worked as an independent lawyer, management consultant and appraiser. In 2012 he took on teaching positions and a. for media law at the University of Würzburg . In 2013 he was appointed professor for media law and media theory at the University of Technology, Economics and Culture in Leipzig .
