Marc Lotz

Marc Lotz (born October 19, 1973 in Valkenburg ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

Marc Lotz was first in the overall classification at the Flèche du Sud in 1996 . The next year he became a professional with the Dutch cycling team Rabobank . In his first year there, he won a stage each at the Circuito Montañés and the Teleflex Tour and the one-day race Brussel-Opwijk. In 1999 he took part in his first Tour de France and was once a stage eight. He also won the Profronde van Wateringen. In the 2004 season Lotz won the Tour du Haut Var and the Profronde Heerlen. In his fourth Tour de France, he made it into the top ten of a stage twice.

In 2005 he moved to Quick Step-Innergetic , where he was released at the end of May for a positive doping test for EPO . In January 2013, he admitted to taking stimulants, steroids and EPO while on the Rabobank team .

Since his suspension expired in the spring of 2007, he has been driving for the Dutch Continental Team Löwik Meubelen . After the 2007 season he ended his career after switching to Pedaltech-Cyclingnews-Jako had failed.
