Marc Schlömer
Marc Schlömer (born December 10, 1977 in Korbach ) is a German sports reporter and football commentator .
Marc Schlömer played for FC Korbach as a teenager and graduated from the Alte Landesschule Korbach .
He began his professional career in 1998 in a television production company in Cologne and from then on worked as a freelancer for various TV sports editorial offices in Cologne. In addition, he completed a degree in sports science at the German Sport University in Cologne, where he also obtained the A license for soccer coach.
From 2001 he worked as a reporter in the sports department of the WDR . Since 2004 he has been a commentator on the ARD Bundesliga sports show . Since 2006 he has been working for ARD as a reporter at football world and European championships as well as at the Olympic Games.
Marc Schlömer is also the regular author of the WDR magazine Sport Inside , known for his travel reports, and winner of the German TV Prize 2013.
Marc Schlömer is the director of the great ARD review of the soccer world championship 2014 "Life is a breath", which was praised in TV reviews. Together with Reinhold Beckmann , he was the author of the ARD documentary “Encounter with Brazil”.
Schlömer is a lecturer at the ARD.ZDF medienakademie and writes articles for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung .
