Marcel Durham

Marcel Durham (born June 21, 1920 , † April 2000 in Dorset ) was a British film editor and sound designer .

Life

Durham worked as an assistant editor from the mid-1950s. By the mid-1980s he was involved in more than ten productions as an assistant editor and later as an assembly film editor . From 1959 to 1975 he was also active in the field of sound editing.

His first and only film as an independent editor was Julia from 1977. For this he was nominated together with Walter Murch in 1978 for the Oscar in the category Best Editing .
