Marcel Gouédard

Marcel Gouédard (born January 15, 1921 in Plévin , † November 27, 1946 in Saint-Brieuc ) was a French football player .

Career

Gouédard learned the trade of Wagner and played as an amateur player for the Stade Saint-Brieuc in his youth and young adulthood . In this way he showed his talent and was accepted into the ÉF Rennes-Bretagne in 1943 during the Second World War ; it was essentially a team that emerged from players from the Stade Rennes and played in the first division for the unofficial championship title of France.

With the liberation of the country , football from the 1944/45 season could be played again in its tried and tested form, with Gouédard being taken over as a professional by the first division club Stade Rennes. For this he made his debut on November 5, 1944 at the age of 24 in a 2: 5 defeat against Red Star Paris and ran from then on regularly for the team. In addition, he made the leap into the B selection of the French national team, even if he was denied admission to the A team. The player was 25 years old and had played 63 official top division matches with two goals when he died of a motorcycle accident in November 1946 at the Saint-Brieuc hospital.
