Maria Joseph Jacobus Antonius "Sef" Imkamp (born March 10, 1925 in Beek , Province of Limburg , † July 2, 2013 in The Hague , Province of Zuid-Holland ) was a Dutch administrative lawyer and politician of the Democrats 66 , who, among other things, almost ten years Member of the Second Chamber of the States General .

Life

After attending grammar school, Imkamp began studying law at the Katholieke Universiteit Nijmegen (KUN), which he graduated cum laude on July 4, 1952. During his subsequent activities in a notary he closed on 24 October 1958 his promotion to Dr. jur. at the KUN with a dissertation on the subject of price discriminatie in America and in het EGSC verdrag . Hans van Mierlo , who later became Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense, was one of his fellow students .

He then initially worked as a trainee notary in The Hague, but then switched to the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM) as an official in 1959 , for which he worked until 1963. From 1963 to 1965 he was a civil servant in the Department of International Payments of the Ministry of Finance ( Ministerie van Financiën ) before he was a senior civil servant in the Main Department for Public Health of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Public Health ( Ministerie van Sociale Zaken en Volksgezondheid ) was active.

On February 23, 1967, Imkamp was elected as a candidate of the 66 Democrats to the Second Chamber of the States General and was a member of parliament until December 7, 1972. On May 28, 1973 he was again a member of the Second Chamber of the States General and represented the interests of his party until June 8, 1977.
