Marcel Pointner (born January 4, 1998 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Pointner started his career at ASK St. Valentin . In 2012 he came to AKA Linz , where he played until 2016. In March 2016, he came on for the first time for SPG FC Pasching / LASK Juniors in the Regionalliga when he came on as a substitute for Mark Große on matchday 20 of the 2015/16 season against SV Wallern in the 68th minute.

He scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in August 2016 in a 1-0 win against SK Austria Klagenfurt . With the Juniors he rose to the 2nd division in 2018 . In the promotion season 2017/18 Pointner was used in 28 games in the Regionalliga and scored four goals.

He made his debut in the second highest division in July 2018 when he was in the starting line-up against the second team of FC Wacker Innsbruck on the first matchday of the 2018/19 season.

In January 2019 he switched to league competitor SKU Amstetten . Without coming to a job, he left the club after the 2018/19 season and switched to regional division FC Wels .
