Marcel Remacle
Marcel Remacle (born January 16, 1926 in Namur , † December 16, 1999 ) was a Belgian cartoonist .
Marcel Remacle started working as a cartoonist for Belgian magazines after World War II. In 1956 he started the comic Bobosse about a flying dog for the publishing house Dupuis , this series was also published in Spirou magazine. In 1958 his most famous series Black Beard the Pirate started there . From 1964 he drew Hultrasson , three albums about a Viking.
He drew and wrote the pirate series about Schwarzbart until his retirement; 26 albums have been released by Dupuis.
