Marcel Throm (born  April 21, 1979 in Eberbach ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

In his youth, Throm played for FV Mosbach , SV Waldhof Mannheim and SV Robern . In 1998 he moved to SG Heidelberg-Kirchheim in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . In 2000 he came to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . With Hoffenheim he made it to the Regionalliga Süd and the 2nd Bundesliga . Before he switched to Sportfreunde Siegen at the end of 2007, Marcel Throm played 195 league and eight DFB Cup games for the club, making him the record player in recent club history.

From 2008 Throm played for SV Sandhausen for two years in the 3rd division .

For the 2010/11 season Throm moved to SpVgg Neckarelz in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . With the club he became champions of the league in 2012/13 and rose to the Regionalliga Südwest.
