Marcia Muller
Marcia Muller (born September 28, 1944 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American crime novelist.
After studying journalism, she worked as a freelance journalist from 1971. In 1977 she began writing detective novels.
On the one hand, her heroine Sharon McCone is in the tradition of American hardboiled crime novels à la Raymond Chandler and Ross Macdonald , on the other hand, she was a pioneer in this field as a female detective. Your crime novels take place in Muller's home town of San Francisco.
She is married to Bill Pronzini , who is a successful crime writer himself and with whom she also wrote several novels.
