Marco Ban (born August 26, 1994 ) is a German - Croatian soccer player . The striker plays for Bonner SC .

Career

Marco Ban first played in the youth field for the Stuttgarter Kickers and then for the 1st youth soccer school in Cologne. In early 2010 he moved to 1. FC Köln , in which his father Kresimir as since 2007 Kit manager operates the first team. A little later he was nominated for a course for the Croatian U-17 national team . He played in the U-17 Bundesliga and the U-19 Bundesliga for Cologne . In the summer of 2013, after moving to the senior division, he was taken over by the club's regional league team, for which he scored five goals in 20 appearances.

In June 2014, Ban signed a contract with local rivals Fortuna Köln , who had recently made it to the third division . Coach Uwe Koschinat described him as a "player with an interesting mixture of aggressiveness against the ball, but also the necessary instinct to finish the goal". However, he received no opportunity to play in the entire first half of the 2014/15 season . After 17 appointments to the matchday squad without participating himself, he finally made his professional debut on the penultimate matchday of the season against SV Wehen Wiesbaden (2-1) when he came on for Thomas Kraus in the 58th minute . This was followed by another assignment as a substitute in the final game of the season at SSV Jahn Regensburg , which was lost 4-0. A little later, the club announced that the contract with Marco Ban would not be extended.
