Marco Dente (* around 1490 in Ravenna , † 1527 in Rome ) was an Italian engraver . Dente was a student of Marcantonio Raimondi and engraved about 70 sheets after Giulio Romano and Raffael , among others . He is said to have died on a rope when Charles V took Rome in 1527 .
