Marco Fassone

Marco Fassone (born August 17, 1964 in Pinerolo , Italy ) is an Italian businessman and sports manager . Most recently, he was CEO of AC Milan .

Career

Fassone studied modern literature at the University of Turin until 1987 . He then worked as a product manager in the marketing department of the confectionery manufacturer Ferrero . From 2001 to 2002 Fassone was in charge of product development at Galbani before moving to sports management. From 2003 to 2010 he was marketing director at the Italian record champions Juventus Turin . Between 2010 and 2015 he was managing director, first from 2010 to 2012 at SSC Napoli , then from 2012 to 2015 at Inter Milan . Since 2017, Fassone has been CEO of AC Milan . On July 21, 2018, AC Milan parted ways with him.

Faced with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic , which is particularly hard on Italy, Fassone pleaded in April 2020 to end the Serie A season early .
