Tholus ( Latin , from the Greek θόλος tholos ) is in astrogeology according to the planetary nomenclature the generic name for small dome-like mountains or hills as volcanic domes on celestial bodies. The name is derived from the Greek tholos for a round building with a domed roof in ancient Greece.

Tholi were named on the terrestrial planets Venus (57) and Mars (22), the minor planets Ceres (7) and Vesta (3) and the Jupiter moon Io (3) (as of March 2018).

Examples on Mars are Albor Tholus , Ceraunius Tholus , Hecates Tholus , Jovis Tholus , Tharsis Tholus , Uranius Tholus, and Zephyria Tholus .
