Marco Giallini (born April 4, 1963 in Rome ) is an Italian actor. He became known in Germany as Rocco Schiavone in the Italian television series of the same name .

life and career

Giallini grew up in a working-class family in Rome with three brothers. After studying at the Accademia nazionale d'arte drammatica in Rome, he gained his first stage experience as an extra or in small supporting roles at Roman theaters. He has appeared on stage in productions by Arnoldo Foà , Ennio Coltorti and Angelo Orlando, among others . He made his cinema debut in 1995 in a small supporting role in the comedy film L'anno prossimo vado a letto alle dieci! by Angelo Orlando . Since then he has taken on leading roles in Italian films as well as in numerous television films and series produced by the RAI.

In 2010 he received his first nomination for a David di Donatello for best supporting actor in the award-winning comedy Io, loro e Lara by Carlo Verdone . Further nominations followed in 2012 (ACAB and Posti in piedi di paradiso) , 2013 (Buon giorno papà) and 2015 (Perfetti sconosciuti) .

Giallini was married to Loredana Giallini since 1993. In 2011 his wife died of a brain hemorrhage. The couple had two sons, Rocco (* 1998) and Diego (* 2004).

Dubbing voices

Marco Giallini does not have a permanent German dubbing voice. So far it has been dubbed by Ekkehardt Belle , Klaus-Dieter Klebsch and Gerald Paradies .
