Marco Lagarto (born July 5, 1977 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German football player .

Life

Lagarto began his career in the youth of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . In 1992 he went to the Sporting Braga football boarding school for two years . In 1994 he returned to 1. FCK and one year later he was promoted to amateurs. In 1998 he moved for the first time abroad to Sporting Clube Farense (1st Portuguese division). In 2000 he moved to Marítimo Funchal (1st Portuguese Division) and then in 2001 to the Portuguese second division club Gondomar SC . In 2002 Lagarto went back to Madeira Island and played one season for União Madeira .

In 2009, Lagarto made his C license and then worked as a player agent. In 2012 Lagarto successfully completed his studies in football management. In July 2013 he became player-coach at FC Knopp .
