Marco Mattiacci

Marco Mattiacci (born December 8, 1970 in Rome ) is an Italian manager in the automotive industry. From mid-April 2014 until the end of the 2014 season, he was Formula 1 team manager at Scuderia Ferrari .

Career

Mattiacci studied economics at La Sapienza University in Rome. From 1989 to 1999 he worked for Jaguar Cars in the UK . Mattiacci worked at Ferrari from 1999 to 2014 . After several engagements in America, Asia and Europe, he became CEO of Ferrari North America in 2010 . In 2012 he received the Automotive Executive of the Year Award for his work .

On April 14, 2014 Mattiaci took over the position of team boss of the Formula 1 racing team Scuderia Ferrari from Stefano Domenicali . At the end of the 2014 Formula 1 season , Mattiacci was fired and replaced by Maurizio Arrivabene . Mattiacci left Ferrari completely and did not take on any other role in the company.
