Marco Thomas Bosshard

Marco Thomas Bosshard (* 1976 in Zurich ) is a German Romanist .

Life

From 1996 to 2002 he studied general and comparative literature, theater studies and Latin American studies at the Free University of Berlin (2002 Magister Artium); Study visits to the University of Paris VIII and Lima . From 2002 to 2003 he was a lecturer at Edition Parabolis, a social science publisher. From 2003 to 2005 he was a lecturer at the Latin America Institute of the Free University of Berlin. From 2005 to 2007 he was a research assistant for Spanish literature at the University of Kassel . From 2007 to 2011 he was a research assistant for Romance literature (Spanish, French, Portuguese) at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . From 2007 to 2017 he was program manager for Ibero-Romance fiction and non-fiction at the Klaus Wagenbach publishing house. After completing his doctorate in Romance Philology in 2010 at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, he taught from 2011 to 2014 as a junior professor for Ibero-Romance cultural studies with a focus on Latin America at the Ruhr University in Bochum . From 2014 to 2015 he represented the chair for Romance literature (French and Spanish) at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. Since 2015 he has been teaching as professor for Spanish literary and cultural studies in a European context at the Europa-Universität Flensburg .
