Marco Varner

Marco Varner (born September 2, 1954 in Trento ) is an Italian composer and music teacher.

Varner studied choral writing and conducting in his hometown and then became a composition student of Francesco Valdambrini . With this he founded the Laboratorio Nuova Musica in Pergine Valsugana and the international summer courses Estate Nuova Musica in Alta Montagna , where he taught orchestral conducting, music analysis and composition as assistant to Valdambrini. Since 1985 he has also headed the Civica Scuola Musicale di Pergine Valsugana , where he teaches harmony and music history and works as a choir and orchestra director.
