Marcos Bernstein

Marcos Bernstein (born February 17, 1970 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian screenwriter and film director.

Marcos Bernstein began his screenwriting career in the mid-1990s as a writer for Walter Salles . He worked on the films Fremdes Land and Central Station . Central Station became an international success and won the Golden Bear at the 1998 Berlinale , among others . He then wrote a television series for Brazilian television. In 2004 he presented his debut film Im Haus opposite . The film was invited to the Berlinale 2004 and shown in the Panorama section. As in Central Station , Fernanda Montenegro played the leading role.
