Marcus Gremel

Marcus Gremel (born October 24, 1983 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

education and profession

Marcus Gremel studied political science at the University of Vienna and graduated in 2009 with his diploma thesis "Leadership in women's politics portrayed in the life and work of Adelheid Popp and Johanna Dohnal". From 2007 to 2008 he worked as a member of parliament for the members of the National Council Gertraud Knoll . From 2009 to 2017 he was District Secretary of the SPÖ- Alsergrund .

Politics and functions

Marcus Gremel started his political career in 2006 as chairman of the young generation in the SPÖ-Alsergrund. In 2007 he became district council of the SPÖ-Alsergrund with responsibility for youth and transport issues. From 2008–2012 he was a member of the Federal Board of the Young Generation in the SPÖ. From 2012 to 2018 he was chairman of the young generation in the SPÖ Vienna . On November 24, 2015 he was sworn in as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council.
