Marcus Richter (football player)

Marcus Richter (born January 22, 1973 ) is a former German football player .

career

Richter, a second meter-long defense player, played with the Hanau Hawks in the top German division, the GFL . From 1998 to 2001 he was under contract with Frankfurt Galaxy in the NFL Europe . In 2000 he played after the season in the NFL Europe for the Hamburg Blue Devils in the Bundesliga. In June 1998 he and the team lost the World Bowl , the final of the NFL Europe, against Rhein Fire . The following year Richter reached the final again with Frankfurt, this time he won with his team (38:24 against the Barcelona Dragons ). In the 2003 season he played for the Rhein-Main Razorbacks in the GFL. In 2004 Richter, who studied law, moved to the Marburg Mercenaries .

Richter was a German national player: At the European Championship 2000 he won the silver medal with the selection.

As a trainer, he was part of the Marburg Mercenaries staff from 2011. Furthermore, he was primarily responsible for the selection of Hessen.
