Marek Świerczewski (born March 2, 1967 in Nowy Sącz ) is a Polish football coach and former player.

Career

Club career

The defender played during his career in Poland for Wisła Kraków , GKS Katowice and Hutnik Kraków and in Austria for SK Sturm Graz , FK Austria Wien , Admira Wacker Mödling and 1. Simmeringer SC . After that he was active in lower-class Austrian football until he was 47.

National team career

Between 1994 and 1995 Świerczewski played six international matches for Poland .

Coaching career

2013–2015 Świerczewski was a coach at the Austrian amateur club FC Polska Wien , where he finally ended his active career in 2014 at the age of 47. Świerczewski has been a coach at RUSH Soccer since 2017.

His younger brother Piotr Świerczewski was also a soccer player, and his daughter Sandra Swierczewska is an Austrian swimmer.

His son, who is also called Marek, is an amateur soccer player. He played at ESK Graz , later for various lower-class clubs in the greater Vienna area.
