Marek Biesiada
Marek Ryszard Biesiada (born February 4, 1964 in Katowice ) is a Polish astronomer and doctor.
Life
Marek Biesiada studied astronomy at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow from 1982 and graduated in 1988 with a master's degree . At the same time he studied medicine at the Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice from 1984 to 1990 . From 1988 he was assistant at the astronomical observatory of the Jagiellonian University and then until 1991 assistant at the Copernicus Center for Astronomy of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. From 1990 to 1992 Marek Biesiada was a postgraduate intern at the Upper Silesian Medical Center Katowice-Ochojec . He received his doctorate in 1991 with a dissertation on non-standard dynamic effects in uniform multidimensional models of cosmology with Michał Heller . from 1991 to 1998 he worked again at the Copernicus Center in Warsaw, now as a research assistant. Overlapping this, Biesiada was head of the department for assessment of health risks and at the same time research assistant at the Institute for Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health in Sosnowiec from 1996 to 2006 . From 1998 he was also a research assistant at the Institute for Astrophysics and Cosmology at the Silesian University in Katowice. In 2007 Marek Biesiada completed his habilitation with tests and limits in models of dark matter in the universe . Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Institute for Astrophysics and Cosmology in Katowice, first as an associate professor and since 2013 as a full professor.
Marek Biesiada is married and has four children.
