Marek Cichosz

Marek Cichosz (born June 9, 1979 , † May 13, 2012 in Borzytuchom , Poland) was a Polish cyclocross rider .

Marek Cichosz became Polish cyclocross champion in the U23 class in 2001 after finishing second twice in a row in the previous years. He finished third in the elite class in 2003, won the race in 2006 and defended his title the following year. At the 2007 Military World Championships, he won the bronze medal. Since 2008 Cichosz has been driving for the Polish Continental Team Legia-Felt .

Cichosz died unexpectedly on May 13, 2012 while he was attending communion for his goddaughter in a church.
