Marek Matuszewski

Marek Matuszewski (born August 14, 1959 in Zgierz ) is a Polish politician and member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Electoral term.

Career

He finished the automotive technical center. He ran his own business as a co-owner of two gas stations. From 1994 to 2002 he was a city councilor in Zgierz, after which he sat in the district assembly of the Powiat Zgierski . After 2002 he was chairman of the Zgierz city council. He belonged to the Ruch Społeczny AWS (Social Movement AWS), then he joined the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS).

In the parliamentary elections in 2005 he was elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Sieradz via the PiS list. In the 2007 Sejm elections , he was confirmed as a member of the PiS with 12,777 votes. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for sport as well as for the connection with the Polonia abroad .
