Marek Pach (born December 16, 1954 in Zakopane ) is a former Polish ski jumper and Nordic combined athlete . In 1976 he won the Polish championship title on the large hill.

Career

Pach started for the sports club Wisła-Gwardia Zakopane . In 1973 he became the hill record holder of the Wielka Krokiew in Zakopane with a jump distance of 114 meters .

Pach was a participant in the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , where, in addition to the individual ski jumping competition, he also competed as a Nordic combined athlete. From the Toni-Seelos-Olympiaschanze Pach was fortieth with almost 70 points behind the Olympic champion Karl Schnabl . In the combined competition he was able to place himself in 20th place after jumping and 15 km cross-country skiing. He celebrated his greatest success only a few days after the Olympic Games. At the Polish Championships in 1976 he won both the championship title on the large hill and the bronze medal on the normal hill.

After his career ended in 1980, Pach became Vice President at Wisła Zakopane and also opened a sports shop. As a competition manager, he was part of the jury at the Polish Ski Jumping Championships 2012 in Zakopane.
