List of Polish champions in ski jumping
The list of Polish champions in ski jumping lists all Polish champions in ski jumping .
The first championships were held in Zakopane on Antałówka Mountain in 1920 . After a competition was held every year until 1962, the Polish champions were determined from 1962 on both the normal hill (NS) and the large hill (GS). Since 2016, the championships have only been held on the large hill and in December. With 21 titles in winter, Adam Małysz is the men's record champion.
Since October 1996, Polish summer championships have also been held on covered hills. Adam Małysz is also the most successful athlete in the summer with 18 individual titles.
Polish summer championships in women's ski jumping have also been held since 2014, and in winter since March 2016. So far, these championships have been held either on the medium hill (MS) or on the normal hill.
Venues
The Polish Ski Jumping Championships are now mainly held in Zakopane , Wisła and Szczyrk on four ski jumping complexes. In addition, championships were held in what is now the Ukrainian cities of Vorokhta and Slavske , as well as in the Polish cities of Karpacz , Krynica-Zdrój and Szklarska Poreba .

Zakopane
The most common Polish championships were held in Zakopane . The city on the Tatra mountain range is the largest winter sports center in Poland and currently has two ski jumping facilities on which international competitions are held. The large hill Wielka Krokiew , named after Stanisław Marusarz , is part of the World Cup and the Continental Cup every year . Since the modernization in 2016/17, the hill size has been 140 meters. In addition, the Średnia Krokiew ski jumping hill complex has a normal hill named after Bronisław Czech and a medium hill ( Mała Krokiew ). The ski jumping hill complex is about to undergo extensive modernization, which should enable the World Championships to be held in Zakopane. At the moment the hill size of the normal hill is 94 meters, as well as 72 meters for the middle hill.
Zakopane was the venue for the first championship. At that time, an ad hoc facility was set up on Antałówka Mountain to enable jumping. The largest jump distance was 14 meters. In addition, two competitions were held in the Dolina Jaworzynki valley . The ski jump was the first in Zakopane, but was demolished in 1930. In addition, a championship was held in the Dolina Kondratowa valley on Hala Kondratowa .
Wisła
The second winter sports center is located in Wisła . The Malinka ski jump was built in 1933 and since the most recent renovation between 2004 and 2008 it has a size of 134 meters. With the inauguration during the Polish championships at the end of September 2008, the new Malinka was named after Adam Małysz . Since the first World Cup competition was held on the Malinka in January 2013, the large hill has been an integral part of the World Cup.
The first championships in Wisła were held in 1931 on the Łabajów . In 2017 it was decided to demolish the facility for financial and security reasons. The hill size was 71 meters.
Szczyrk
The venue of Szczyrk in the Carpathian Mountains is currently mainly used for the women's championships. A middle hill (HS 77) and a normal hill (HS 106) are part of the Skalite ski jumping facility . The jumps can be covered with plastic matting and are therefore suitable for summer competitions. The normal hill was part of the Beskydy Tour , which was organized as part of the Continental Cup in summer. In addition, championships were held in Szczyrk at Salmopol in 1989 and 1995. The ski jump, which was named after Zdzisław Hryniewiecki , had its construction point at 85 meters and was demolished in 2000.
Men
Championships 1920–1961
A total of 36 championships were held between 1920 and 1961. The most outstanding athlete was Stanisław Marusarz , whose record of eleven titles was only set in 1987 by Piotr Fijas and was ultimately trumped. Marusarz was just one of the many athletes who came from Zakopane . This dominance is also due to the multiple training opportunities that the city on the Tatra Mountains had to offer. During this period Zakopane hosted the Polish championships a total of 23 times, of which 18 were jumped on the Wielka Krokiew . There were no national competitions between 1940 and 1945 due to the Second World War and the German occupation of Poland .
Winter championships (since 1962)
140 winter competitions have taken place since 1962, 33 of which were team competitions. There were 58 individual competitions on the large hill and 49 on the normal hill. In addition to Zakopane , the cities of Wisła and Szczyrk established themselves as venues. At the beginning of this period, jumpers like Józef Przybyła , Stanisław Bobak or Piotr Fijas dominated , before Adam Małysz became the undisputed record champion with his 21 individual championship titles and eight team championships for his club KS Wisła Ustronianka .
As of March 16, 2019
Summer championships (since 1996)
Since the summer of 1996 35 competitions have been held, eighteen of which were individual competitions on the normal hill and eleven individual competitions on the large hill. There were six team competitions, which AZS Zakopane won with one exception . The Średnia Krokiew was initially the only hill that could be covered with plastic mattings and was suitable for summer, which is why until 2004 there was only jumping on the normal hill in Zakopane. The mat covering of the Wielka Krokiew did not take place until 2004, but it has been used regularly for the championships since then. It was only possible to jump from the Malinka after its renovation in the summer of 2008. The Skalite hills are also covered with plastic mattings.

Women
So far six summer championships and four winter championships have taken place. After all competitions were initially held on one of the Skalite ski jumps in Szczyrk , Zakopane was the first venue in 2019 when the Mała Krokiew jumped. In February 2020, the winter championships were held on the normal hill for the first time.
