Leszek Tadeusz Pawłowski (born June 10, 1895 in Lemberg , Austria-Hungary , † April 24, 1967 in Warsaw , Poland ) was a Polish ski jumper . In 1920 he won the first Polish Ski Jumping Championship . In addition, he became national champion in pole vault in 1921 .

Career

Pawłowski, who started for Czarni Lwów , won the first ski jumping competition in Polish history in Slavske in 1907 . In 1920 he became the first Polish ski jumping champion from the Antałówka in Zakopane after jumping to 14 meters . A year later he had to admit defeat to Aleksander Rozmus and became runner-up.

Furthermore, Pawłowski was also successful in athletics . So he was runner-up in 1920 and champion in the pole vault in 1921.

Pawłowski was buried in the Powązki cemetery in Warsaw after his death in a car accident in 1967 .
