Andrzej Malik (born October 18, 1970 ) is a former Polish ski jumper . He became Polish champion with the team in 1990 .

Career

Malik, who started his career for LKS Skrzyczne Szczyrk , grew up in a sporty family. His four brothers Janusz , Zbigniew , Tomasz and Kazimierz also jumped next to him . Andrzej made his international debut as part of the Beskydy Tour in 1985 in Wisła , where he only found himself in the lower ranks. On January 8, 1988, Malik started in Planica for the first time in the European Cup , but clearly missed the second round. At the Czech Marusarzówna Memorial in Zakopanea few weeks later he reached a respectable tenth place. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 1988 in Saalfelden , Malik took 44th place after jumping 53 meters in the Felix Gottwald ski jumping stadium . A year later it was only enough to rank 62 at the Junior World Championships in Vang . Malik was also unsuccessful in the World Cup , so that the 52nd place on his debut in Zakopane in 1990 should be his only appearance.

At the national level, he became the Polish junior champion in 1989. In 1990 he won the senior title in Zakopane together with his brother Zbigniew, Wacław Przybyła and Robert Witke as a team.

Malik ended his career in 1991.
