The Felix Gottwald ski jumping stadium is located in the town of Saalfelden ( state of Salzburg ) in the Uttenhofen district . Today there are four ski jumps of categories K 15, K 30, K 60, K 85 .

history

At Biberg in Uttenhofen there were two jumps from the 1970s. In Saalfelden itself, the Ritzenseeschanze and the Drei-Tannen-Schanze existed between 1950 and 1980, both operated by the local SK Saalfelden ski club and the Heeressportverein. The Bibergschanze was added in 1986. In 2004 the K-45 hill was converted into a K-60 hill and the two small hills were covered with plastic mattings for summer use. The new K 60 was finally inaugurated on October 10, 2004 and the ski jumping center was renamed the Felix Gottwald Ski Jumping Stadium in honor of the Nordic combiner Felix Gottwald , who was a member of the Saalfeldner Ski Club. In addition, the Nordic Junior World Championships in 1988 and 1999 were held here. From 2005 to 2007, the women's Continental Cup took place here.
