Zbigniew Malik (born September 28, 1962 in Bielsko-Biała ) is a former Polish ski jumper . He became Polish champion with the team in 1990.

Career

Malik, who mainly started for LKS Skrzyczne Szczyrk in his career , grew up in a sporty family. His four brothers Janusz , Andrzej , Tomasz and Kazimierz also jumped next to him . At the age of 17 Malik made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup in Zakopane , but missed the points when he was nineteenth. At the Junior World Championships in 1980 in Örnsköldsvik , Sweden , Malik finished 27th.

After Malik tried again and again in the World Cup, he reached the points for the first and only time in January 1986 with seventh place in Oberwiesenthal . In the overall standings , he was 49th. He also scored his first points in the 1986 European Ski Jumping Cup with twelfth place in the Feldberg jumping competition .

He celebrated his greatest national success at the Polish championships in Zakopane in 1990, when he won the championship title in the team with Wacław Przybyła , Robert Witke and his brother Andrzej.

At the 2003 Veterans World Championships in Zakopane , Malik won the gold medal on Maleńka Krokiew in the 40-44 year old category.
