The Łabajów was a ski jumping hill in Wisła in Poland that was demolished in 2017. The ski jumping facility was located in the Łabajów district at the confluence of the Łabajow and Głębiczek streams .

history

The ski jump was opened in 1931 as part of the national championships by the Polish President Ignacy Mościcki . In the years that followed, Wisła's oldest ski jump was one of the most important facilities in the Beskids .

After the first renovation in 1978, the jumps were named after Jan Lipowczan , who was a well-deserved activist of the "Watra" ski area.

The medium and small hill were part of the Lotus-Cup , a junior competition series of the Polish Ski Association , from 2005 to 2014 . The children jumped from the K-35 hill, while the juniors already competed from the K-65 hill. In 2013, a small, twelve-meter-long "Witek" hill was added, which was also to be covered with matting , which ultimately failed.

The disadvantage of the ski jumping hill was that a road led through the landing hill, which had to be closed during training and the competition. The dangers of increased traffic and lack of money led to the facility being demolished in 2017.
