Piotr Kolesar (born June 14, 1910 in Zakopane , † March 1940 ibid) was a Polish ski jumper .

Career

Kolesar, who started for TS Wisła Zakopane , took part in a total of five Nordic World Ski Championships . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1929 in Zakopane , he finished 30th after jumps on 39.0 and 41.0 meters. Four years later, his hopes for a top place were soon exhausted, as he fell in the first round of the jumping competition in 1933 and finally reached 61st place with widths of 54.0 and 56.0 meters. A week later, Kolesar won his first national medal when he finished second behind Stanisław Marusarz from Wielka Krokiew . At the World Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 , Kolesar finished 34th, while in 1935 in Vysoké Tatry he ranked 27th. In January 1937 he won the bronze medal at the Polish championships from the Łabajów in Wisła . He achieved his best world championship result when he last participated in Zakopane in 1939 with 22nd place after jumps on 57.0 and 65.0 meters.

Kolesar acted as a courier in an underground movement during World War II . Finally, he was arrested because of complicity in courier transfers and in March 1940 during the investigation into the palace of the Gestapo - headquarters murdered in Zakopane.
