Markus Baumgartner

Markus Baumgartner (* in the late 1960s in Eisack Valley , South Tyrol ) is an Italian chef.

Career

Baumgartner decided to become a chef at the age of 13. After his training in South Tyrol, he moved to Tantris in Munich , to the residence with Heinz Winkler in Aschau im Chiemgau , to the Schlosshotel Lehrbach with Dieter Müller in Bergisch Gladbach and to the Schweizer Stuben in Wertheim .

In the mid-1990s he became head chef at the Waldruhe restaurant in Albions / Lajen , which was awarded a Michelin star in 1997 . In 2008 he was head chef at the Maso Franch restaurant in Lavis , which was also awarded a Michelin star. In 2010 he became head chef in the Johannesstube in the Hotel Engel, which was also awarded a Michelin star in 2011. In 2016 he cooked at the Preidlhof in Naturns .
