Władysław Tomasz Mietelski (born December 21, 1906 in Passaic , New Jersey , † 1991 in Cook County , Illinois ) was a Polish ski jumper .
Career
In 1926, Mietelski was a co-founder of the TS Wisła Zakopane ski club . As a substitute, he was a member of the Polish ski jumping team at the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1928 , but was not used. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1929 , he finished 23rd from the Wielka Krokiew . The jumping functioned at the same time as a competition for the Polish championships , so Mietelski won bronze as the third best Pole. In the 5 × 10 km relay race at the Polish championships in 1931, he won the silver medal. Mietelski, who was born in the United States , was a private in the US Army .
