Daniel Bachleda (born June 21, 1981 in Zakopane ) is a former Polish Nordic combined skier .

Career

Bachleda comes from a sporty family. His brother ( Marcin ), father, uncle and grandfather were also active as skiers. Daniel Bachleda initially started for WKS Zakopane , but switched to KS AZS-AWF Katowice in the course of his career due to a degree .

At the beginning of his career, Bachleda started both in ski jumping and in combination. He competed in both disciplines at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships . On January 26, 1997, he made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup , but missed the points that he should achieve for the first time in March 2001 in Zakopane. In the Nordic Combined, Bachleda started several times unsuccessfully in the World Cup and was only rarely able to convince in the B World Cup . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 in Lahti , Finland , he finished 45th in the sprint and 51st in the Gundersen singles .

On the national level, however, Bachleda was among the top Polish in Nordic combined, so that in addition to several medals, he also won the championship title three times. In addition, he was vice-ski jumping champion with the team three times between 2000 and 2002 .
