Leopold Tajner (born May 15, 1921 in Roztropice , Second Polish Republic , † February 25, 1993 in Wisła ) was a Polish Nordic skier.
Career
Tajner won a total of five medals at the national level. However, he never won the championship title. At the Czech-Marusarz Memorial in Zakopane , his best individual result was second place in 1951 behind Jan Kula . A few weeks earlier, he won the special jumping event on the international level as part of the II Winter Sports Championships of the German Democratic Republic from the large Thuringian ski jump in Oberhof .
Tajner took part in the Winter Olympics twice. At the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , he took 34th place in the Nordic Combined competition and 76th place in the 18 km cross-country skiing . Four years later he only competed in ski jumping at the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 and reached 39th place.
Leopold was the brother of Władysław Tajner , the father of the incumbent President of the Polish Ski Association Apoloniusz Tajner and the grandfather of Tomisław Tajner .
