Jarosław Mądry (born March 31, 1968 ) is a former Polish ski jumper .

Career

Mądry, who started for the club WKS Legia Zakopane , made his international debut on December 30, 1987 as part of the Four Hills Tournament 1987/88 . This was also his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup . In this as well as in the other competitions of the tour he remained far behind the world's best and finished the tour in 73rd place in the overall ranking. At the Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf in 1988 , he landed on 41st place in individual flying .

Also in the following Four Hills Tournament in 1988/89 Mądry could hardly improve compared to the previous year and with 300 points at the end reached 72nd place in the tour's overall ranking.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 , Mądry jumped from the normal hill to rank 56, from the large hill to rank 58 and together with Bogdan Papierz and Jan Kowal in team competition to rank 12. In March 1989 he won silver in the individual competition at the 1989 Winter Universiade in Sofia .

From December 1989 Mądry started for the first time outside of the tour in the World Cup. However, until his last World Cup competition in January 1993, he did not achieve a single place in the points. His best result was a 34th place in Engelberg in February 1990. After another bronze medal in the team at the Winter Universiade 1993 in Zakopane , Mądry ended his active ski jumping career for health reasons.

In 1990 he won his first and only national championship title in singles, after winning silver in 1989. With his team WKS Zakopane he was also able to become champion seven times.
