Krzysztof Leja (born February 21, 1996 ) is a Polish ski jumper who represents the AZS Zakopane sports club .

Career

Leja made his international debut in the FIS Junior Jumping in summer 2008. After joining the Polish national team, he made his debut in the FIS Cup on January 17th, 2010 . However, he did not make it into the top 50 in his first two competitions in Szczyrk . At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck , he managed to jump from the normal hill to 14th place. With the team he finished 12th in team jumping. A year later in February 2013 he started at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Râșnov, Romania . After rank 39 in the individual, he finished tenth with the team. On June 29, 2013, he made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup in Stams . He achieved a place in the top 20 in both competitions and thus clearly made it into the points. After he clearly jumped into the points in Kranj , he got a starting place in the A-squad in the context of the Ski Jumping Grand Prix . He immediately succeeded in qualifying in Wisła . However, after he did not succeed in points in the competitions, he was able to jump into the points for the first time in Hakuba in the second competition. After he was able to jump into the points in both competitions in Nizhny Tagil , he finished the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2013 with 13 points in 71st place overall. In September Leja made it into the points for the first time by finishing 14th in the Continental Cup in Klingenthal .
