AZS Zakopane
Akademicki Związek Sportowy Zakopane (also AZS AWF Kraków Zakopane ) is a Polish sports club that was founded in Zakopane in 1949 . The association has departments in the winter sports of ski jumping , alpine skiing , snowboarding , cross-country skiing , ice hockey , Nordic combined and speed skating . The sports club is regularly one of the best in the country and was able to call itself the best Polish ski club in the 2008/09 season. AZS is most successful in the disciplines of ski jumping and alpine skiing.
After the club Start Krokiew Zakopane (until 2003 SKS Start Zakopane ) dissolved in 2010, AZS took over all athletes.
