Franciszek Cukier (born October 4, 1905 in Zakopane ; † August 2, 1954 there ) was a Polish ski jumper . He became Polish champion in 1930.

Career

Cukier started for the Sokół Zakopane sports club .

In the opening competition of the Wielka-Krokiew-Schanze on March 22nd, 1925, Cukier finished fifth among the juniors after jumping 19 meters. After Cukier reached only fourth place in the Polish championships in 1928, he was runner-up in Zakopane a year later behind Bronisław Czech . Another year later he achieved his greatest sporting success when he won the championship title in front of Aleksander Rozmus after jumps on 54.0 m and 53.5 m .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1929 in Zakopane, Cukier ranked 17th after jumps on 53.0 and 51.5 meters. After that he only achieved successes at city championships.
