IC 5083 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E0 in the constellation Equuleus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 581 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 85,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky is the galaxy NGC 7015 .

The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on August 12, 1897 .
