IC 5096 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 137 million light years from the Milky Way and approximately 135,000 light years across.
Together with NGC 7020 , IC 5084 , IC 5092 , PGC 66319 and PGC 66376 , it forms the IC 5096 group or LGG 443 .
The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
