IC 5111 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 344 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 7077 , NGC 7081 , IC 1379 , IC 1380 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on September 10, 1895 .
