IC 1379 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E0 in the constellation fill north of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 576 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1380 and IC 5111 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 29, 1892 .
