IC 1385 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 705 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1381 , IC 1383 , IC 1384 , IC 1387 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on November 6, 1891 .
