IC 1403 is a spiral galaxy from the Hubble type S in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 376 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 3, 1892 .
