IC 1414 is a compact lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 383 million light years from the Milky Way and about 55,000 light years across.
The object was discovered by Rudolf Spitaler on October 25, 1891 .
