IC 1428 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 555 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1422 and IC 1425 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 19, 1893 .
