IC 1428 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Pegasus at the northern sky . It is an estimated 555 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1422 and IC 1425 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 19, 1893 .
